Titanium alloys are alloys that contain a mixture of titanium and other chemical elements. Such alloys have very high tensile strength and toughness (even at extreme temperatures). Grade 2 titanium is called the “workhorse” of the commercially pure titanium industry, thanks to its varied usability and wide availability. Many of its characteristics are similar to those of Grade 1 titanium, however, it is a little bit stronger. Both are equally resistant to corrosion. This grade has good strength, ductility, formability, and weldability. Due to this, Grade 2 titanium bar and sheet are the best options in a wide range of applications:
Inconel materials are nickel-chrome-based superalloys. Inconel has high corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, strength at high temperatures, and creep resistance. Inconel is able to withstand elevated temperatures and extremely corrosive environments.
With grades, Inconel material’s chemical makeup changes. Being a nickel permit, the nickel content is higher. The following substances are also found in Inconel alloy material:
Hastelloy is a term used to describe nickel metal that has been alloyed to increase corrosion resistance. This is primarily done through the addition of molybdenum and chromium. There are many grades of Hastelloy, with each grade having a different chemical makeup to be optimized for a specific set of properties.
Hastelloy outperforms other specialty metal products like Incoloy in extremely corrosive situations because it often contains significant amounts of both molybdenum and chromium. The general workability is also improved by the inclusion of molybdenum. Additionally ductile and simple to produce and mold, Hastelloy alloys are.
Hastelloy grades generally have the following characteristics:
Hastelloy is a metal alloy that is created by mixing raw materials while they are still liquid at high temperatures. There are different classes, each with a unique chemical makeup. A mixture may have nickel as the remaining component and up to 25% chromium, 5% to 30% molybdenum, and 0% to 30% iron. Depending on the grade, additional additions may include titanium, carbon, tungsten, and chromium.
